Natural Cancer Treatments – Inositol, Enzyme Therapy and MSM Vitamin C

Can inositol prevent and heal cancer?

The number of little-known chemo-protective natural substances that are discovered every day continues to amaze me. These substances have always been “out there,” either in nature or produced in our own bodies. One substance that is both generated by the body’s systems and found in many natural foods is inositol.
In addition to the positive effect this nutrient has on brain neurotransmitters and fat conversion, it has also continued to show promise as a great nutrient for preventing many kinds of cancer, especially lung and colon cancer.

Dr. Stegall’s Comments: Inositol, also known as vitamin B6, is a natural substance found in some citrus fruits, nuts, oats, and seeds which has been shown in studies to reduce risk of developing lung and colorectal cancers. We also have good research on inositol’s contribution to brain function and fat metabolism. In addition, we have not found it to have any negative effects in the body, making it a win-win as part of an overall nutritional regimen.

The Immense Power of Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy

High potency proteolytic enzymes have an immense ability to improve vital health processes. A plethora of studies on proteolytic enzymes reveal the potency of their effects in the human body.

This includes their ability to enhance processes of detoxification, normalize and reduce inflammatory processes and to enhance the production of white blood cells and the body’s defenses. Proteolytic enzymes can stimulate immune cells to destroy fungus, mold, bacteria and viruses. Certain proteolytic enzymes function as antioxidants, inhibiting the formation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and thromboxanes.

Dr. Stegall’s Comments: Proteolytic enzymes, or proteases, are known as digestive aids to break down proteins into smaller components. However, research has shown us that proteolytic enzymes also decrease inflammation and stimulate the immune system – both of which are needed in effective cancer treatment.

The MSM/Vitamin C treatment for cancer

This protocol is synergistic with chemotherapy and makes chemotherapy more effective and less damaging. However, if you are on any other type of prescription drug, do NOT use organic sulfur until after you talk to your pharmacist and physician about using high doses of organic sulfur (2 or 3 TABLEspoons of the crystals a day) with your prescription drugs.

True organic sulfur can help deal with pain (because it gets oxygen inside the cells) and it can help deal with inflammation for the same reason. But this oxygen also can kill the microbes inside the cancer cells, which in turn can revert the cancer cells into normal cells. See the “What Causes Cancer” article.

Organic sulfur can also take the “trash” out of the cell every 12 hours. It helps get rid of heavy metals, which is important for many cancer patients and most patients with brain disorders. This also means that cancer patients with brain fog may benefit from this treatment, depending on what is causing the brain fog.

Dr. Stegall’s Comments: The sulfur component of MSM is thought to help cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and IV vitamin C get into cancer cells to better exert their effects. Caution must be used when attempting to incorporate MSM into a treatment protocol, as it can interact with other therapies. With that said, it is certainly a promising treatment which I am currently investigating further.
